Alicia Speare is a Mexico City–based Makeup Designer with more than 25 years of experience in the beauty, advertising, film, television and music industries.

She began her career at Televisa and went on to work as a Makeup Designer and Department Head on television productions, advertising campaigns, music videos and films.

Her experience includes working with Mexican and international directors, actors, artists and production teams, developing makeup for a wide range of visual languages and production environments.

Among her work are music videos for artists including Zoé, more than 25 short films, numerous advertising campaigns and television productions, as well as character and makeup design projects.

Alicia has also worked in characterization, including more than five years developing the makeup and character work for Arath de la Torre.

She studied makeup professionally in Barcelona and Madrid, and continues to approach her work with the same curiosity that has guided her throughout her career: understanding the image, the person and the story before creating the makeup.
